My Review of Deaf Viewpoints: 2008 U.S. Presidental Elections

When I watched debaters by Liz Stone, Jeff Rosen, Robert Traina, and Michael Clegg in the video of Deaf Viewpoints: 2008 U.S. Presidental Elections at Deaf Nation website, they really made me proud of them. I am impressed with how they presented themselves in the debate. They did a wonderful job. I must thank Nancy Bloch and Joel Barish for making it happen. The video showed what Deaf people really are all about. Deaf people have their own mind to think for themselves. They want to be a part of the society where they contribute to America. For Deaf people who vote, they are the ones who make a difference in the Deaf community and the society at large.

Aidan, I echo your sentiments on this debate. I thought it was in good taste and well done. Kudos to all involved in the making of this video.

I am disappointed that it was not CCed or transcripted for the benefit of thousands of deaf, HoH, deaf-blind folks out there.

I hope it can still be done and ASAP as the election is nigh! Thanks

I must join you to commend both the NAD and the Deaf Nation for their sponsorship on the presidential candidate debate participated by two Deaf Democrats and two Deaf Republcians. Had it not been for the modern technology, the debate would not have been videoed.

Where is the link to the DeafNation website for the Deaf Viewpoints 2008 on Presidential Election???

I could not possibly open the DeafNation attachment few days ago.

I have to reserve my thoughts until I view the DeafNation-sponsored deaf viewpoint discussion regarding major presidential candidates. D'accord?

I want to add that the required viewing capability within the Internet access is the Flash Player.

My Mac and Dell PC computers seems not able to open the Flash Player.

Deaf Nation ought to add several attachment features for the majority of deaf Americans to view the debate, not exclude them. Thanks!
