You just saw my recent clip saying that I can fly. Thats when you should ask for a litmus test to see if I have an "excess acidic ph-level," so to speak, that might be influencing my reasoning. It's important to have these kinds of litmus tests, when called for, to make sure that people have information to back up what they say in their vlogs and blogs.
The litmus test issue is being distorted. Sometimes a "litmus test" is perfectly needed in the Deaf community, because some vloggers and bloggers are following an agenda that involves not being straightforward with their viewers and readers. It is good to be skeptical while participating in discussions on blogs, in order to counter misleading information, falsehoods, and the spreading of lies. For example, Barry Sewell will not be satisfied until he has destroyed the DBC and "broken its neck." That's the only thing that would make him happy. He will find any excuse, any small off-the-point detail or distorted pseudo-rationale to try to crush the DBC to death for his own person benefit, not for Deaf babies and for Deaf children's benefits. That's when it accurate to say that there is "excess acid" on their vlogs/blogs and which causes their vlogs/blogs to not function properly. Some gullible or naive viewers and readers would believe anything what vloggers and bloggers say without checking the resources and information to confirm the claims. They would swallow many fish--and this too could produce "excess acidity," to use a metaphor, by being gullible rather than stand back and questioning with skeptical eyes to make sure if they have valid information.
(Quote:) 'I wanted a commitment from either George Bush or John McCain that if elected he would appoint pro-life judges to the Supreme Court,' Bauer told me. 'Bush said he had no litmus test, and his judges would be strict constructionists." Americablog.com, "Now McCain is flip-flopping on judges"
Now we can see DeafRead viewers, bloggers, and vloggers declining to participate due to the destructive behavior of certain vloggers/bloggers and some DeafRead editors. It is critical to have a litmus test done to check to see what their real agenda might be. It is sad to witness certain people trying to manipulate the Deafread's viewers by creating false guilt trips so they can evade the real issues which point to their own major faults and ulterior motives.

Excellent job!!! :) I simply backed off with some people who debated over DBC, Deafhood and other deaf issues (flip and flop/ cheap talk) over a month. Two anonymous people kept attacked me over communication abused/ oralism even I removed their persistent comments. I chose to shut my blog down temporarily until I cleaned up my blog. So I can control their comments within my approval or not approval.
I decided to listen and read what they believe in or not. I just stick what I believe in some sensitive issues. Unless someone can proved or convinced me wrong. I simply respect their choices.
I would not near Barry Sewell at all. That's his choices, not ours. I wouldn't cross the line with him. I bet Barry knew what I am talking about.
I am rooting for you as straightforward talker!
Cheers!

Yes, many use "litmus test" everywhere -- in politics, they use it to determine who they want to be President, Vice President, Supreme Court Justice, etc.
Interestingly, it's becoming common now in politics to try to find someone who will "pass" the litmus test -- how? By not leaving a paper trail behind them. For the Supreme Court, they're looking more and more for judges who didn't make controversial rulings, or who didn't have much experience as a judge before they were nominated so there is almost no paper trail or a trail to point to a weight on one side or another of any issues.
The Senate's job is to question the nominees to try to be sure that the nominee isn't hiding a certain bias or propensity. That is why we see such long battles during the Hearings -- the nominees keep trying to wiggle out of saying they think one way or another and the Senators are trying to pin them down before they get stuck with this person for life.
So, litmus tests do have a role in understanding where a person is coming from when they make public statements. Trying to say you want to reserve your opinion to yourself is fine when you are not acting in a public capacity, but when you are going public, the public does have a right to know or sense what your agenda might be through your public pronouncements.
Excellent Aiden!
Yes we are all anonymous commentors right now because of the high acidity (ass-i-dity) that Barry Sewell has spilled all over Deafread recently.
- To all anonymous commenters,
Don't be afraid of Barry Sewell. - Just stick what you believe in.
Honestly, I watched Deaf TV under Aiden's Vlog and read some of comments.
I decided to cross the line as being discreet with Barry for once.
- Barry Sewell,
Excuse me, I read some of your vlogs. I am sort of 50/ 50 agreed/ disagreed with your opinions about DBC. It was your choices as I respect you. However, I disagreed some of things what you made comments.
I am ready to face to face with you through VP tomorrow. I am not going to attack or insult you. I simply wanted to simple discussion with you as what was going as being discreet/ neutral conversation.
Cheers,

Charles,
Beware....reasoning with the evil minded spin doctor can be harmful to your health.... He is a master of deception...a king of lies.. Tread carefully....don't buy any goods from him...especially don't drink the water.
This may seem silly but it is the truth.... seek good....stay far away from the dark side..
Hi Aidan,
Please bear with me because I'm a newbie to DeafRead and other deaf vlogs/blogs. :-) I started reading all those a month ago, and boy, it's been quite overwhelming and a bit too much for me to read everything at once... I feel as though I jumped in the feeding frenzy of piranhas! So I'm taking my time to digest it as much as I can... :-)
I have a burning question, yet a very simple one- What made Barry Sewell turn his back against DBC after he's worked with them for a few months? Is that just because he doesn't agree with DBC that its mission for deaf babies to have access to ASL and the concept of Deafhood fit together??
By the way, I love your signing style! :-)

I really winced that Amy Cohen doesn't really understand her subject about Litmus Test. We must ask a politican, a leader of any organization, a future husband. My parents and I asked my husband many questions before the marriage or I would regret after finding out later following the marraige. I must know now not later. Understand what I mean. Good vlog!
Barry Sewell jumped the gun to catch warning the audience that he considered if DBC core members seem to be a mirror to reflect deceptively to the world.
For example, the powers of reflective surfaces to captivate and deceive are also featured strongly in such myths as Narcissus and Snow White. One of the many reasons for this belief is that the mirror is believed to reflect part of the soul, therefore, breaking the mirror will break part of the soul. His ideas sound like religion.
MZ brought up it a mixed message- sometimes it is good but it isn’t as good as it claims because parts of it are just true. You see that MZ forced DBC to become fully transparent.
To anonymous who typed " Is that just because he doesn't agree with DBC that its mission for deaf babies to have access to ASL and the concept of Deafhood fit together?? "
Yes, your question is very good. At the first one or two postings Barry created, he called "Deafhood hijacks DBC" when he felt upset about Deafhood workshop in the DBCconference. He believed that Deafhood should be separated from the DBC. Personally, I disagreed him but I still respect his opinion. After his several postings, I began to reveal his hidden motives. Somehow, he has personal problems with DBC Core leaders who are pro-Deafhood supporters instead of the DBC or Deafhood as a whole.
Now, I noticed his blogs targeting against the DBC became too trivial. For example, whenever the other blog excitedly announced that the DBC conference is so successful or the number of new DBC chapter is growing, he simply ignored it and still made some negative statements at DBC. Also, the DBC postings that revealed many issues to solve many questions but he simply ignored it again.
Is he unconscious crab theory person? Does he realize that he missed the golden opportunity to involve with the successful conference? Does he a super ego problem or perfectionist? If he is a perfectionist, then he will never be successful in the concept of "teamwork".
.
Finally i am no longer interested in reading Barry's blog.
Anonymous,
Don't worry, I know what I am doing with Barry Sewell. I simply being discreet (neutral) conversation with Barry and see what is going on. You noticed I stated that I do not agreed with him 50 percent as he will not change my mind. Im too dman stubborn what I beleive in my own positions like Barry as we have different point of views over deaf issues. :)
Thanks
