Thank you, Aidan. I have gotten to know Ella over the years, and I have always found her to be a courteous, respectful, and yet forthright person when it comes to things she believes in, among which, one is our Deaf community and our future Deaf children. If anyone doesn't believe me, look at her poem, "To a Hearing Mother". This was made LONG before any of this CI/DBC stuff happened, and I see nothing to show that her views have changed significantly in that arena.
Aidan, please, next time, check your background. It was very hard to see your signs.
i was in tears...wanted to leave my comment at dvtv--prefer vlog comment :) hope u plan vlogging there...excellent vlog..thanks very much! To All of us, let's work together...we will heal & survive! \../,
Aidan ~ Your description of Ella is nice and quite accurate! Your time and energy in portraying her in a very positive light is much appreciated. :-) Keep vlogging!
is a passionate, ambitious director, cinematographer, and editor. She is the first ASL-Deaf highly engaged and motivated, Dean’s List student-filmmaker at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, she has shown great potential as a filmmaker from conception to completion.
As a Deaf individual, Aidan has faced and overcome a myriad of obstacles in her life. She brings the same tenacity to filmmaking as she strives to become a successful visual storyteller through the medium of film.
Aidan is also an ASL and Deaf pro-activist working on the sharing and spreading of invaluable information about bilingualism in American Sign Language and English written language of Deaf children. She also urges people to recognize that the medical establishment has one-sided information that promises parents they will "cure" their babies’ deafness and that doctors, audiologists, and oral educators feed the idea into parents that Deaf people are not able to function in society if they do not get fixed.

Very good post and you just hit the nail on the head. :)
Aidan,
Please include transcripts of your next vlogs. I'd appreciate it if you can make that effort.
Yes, these vlogs are rather dark.
Thanks!
