I strongly believe that DBC leaders are open to input from the Deaf community. I know that Ella is available to the community and will communicate more in vlogs, too. She wants to recognize and express appreciation to the people who participated first, so let's let her do that. We seem to be too accustomed to having negative expectations. It's time for us to focus on the positive first and then we can get on with the rest. I suggest to some people that they need to put down their "shotguns," because there is no need for such hostility against the DBC. If you want DBC leaders to recognize your concerns, then you should express your clear concerns or questions in a positive manner, either in a vlog or private e-mail.
Do you want to create a kind of environment where a person tries to wrestle a leader or a supporter of ASL into the dirt, then blind them with intense light, pour with honey all over their face, and then release fire ants all over their heads, and demand them to answer the questions?

Your explanation is perfect. That is what DBC needs a room to breathe and DBC needs a chance to explain.
Torturers never give anyone a chance.
I have never seen so much hatred in people who attack and insult DBC and DBC members personally.

I admire you for speaking straight.
And many these DBC core leaders know that these people, Barry Sewell, Amy Cohen Efron, Mishkazena, Ben Vess, Candy, White Ghost, Mike McConnell, Paotie and others are just collecting their ropes with all their selfish comments and eventually will hang themselves with their ropes.
Those others on the sideline,... amazing about all this, please don't follow these kind of people, just simply follow what your heart for Deaf babies' need of cognitive development skills, ASL at start.

You are right. There are better ways to approach situations than what has been taking place. The harrassment level is riding the line of illegal. I am so surprised that DR has allowed this to go on and on? What is up with that??
I noticed that on Barry Sewell's posts, that he is only accepting comments from his supporters. I tried to post something and it was not posted. Obviously he is controlling what his audience is reading.
I hope that most people can see through what is taking place. If I was DBC, I wouldn't respond either. Who needs to respond to bullies.
DBC in my book is one of the best grass movements of this era!!
I agree with Deafchip, especially in regards to the level of animosity in attacks against DBC.
I am glad to finally see more positive vlogs that point to the positives, and the need for room to breathe. This balances out the negative perspectives.
One thing, Aidan... I'm glad you're not my torturer. The way you describe torturing... quite creative...too scary! LOL

It is just so unfortunate that we are in this era where patience is no longer a virtue. Our people in this generation are so accustomed to immediate satisfaction/ gratification. They expect us to jump and respond NOW. Where are the days when we could respond or submit reports 1 - 2 months afterwards?
I find it ironic that those people did not chase or berate other organizations and demand conference reports.
The DBC core committee and its conference planning folks deserve to rest and tend to their own personal needs such as work, family, summer vacations, etc.
It has all been so bizarre to see how they've been behaving - demanding answers... to what?
I think we can be patient enough and let them grow up some more and start acting like mature adults.

I am rather new in Deafread and have been reading around that relates to DBC for a while and made a few comments. Since Tayler Mayer recently mentioned "hide this blog" feature, I am so happy to know about it that the disturbing "DBC Facts" is the first one for myself to hide. Good riddance! Hence more peaceful for me.
So I thought if perhaps many of you aren't aware of this useful feature? It would help you find more peace in Deafread that suits your personal style -- seeing no more toxic attacks or harassing tactics.
