THE GIFT OF DEAF BILINGUAL COALITION/TRUE BUSINESS AGB'S GOAL OF ELIMINATING DEAF COMMUNITY
There are three videos on my vlog. I have discussed the first video of the participation the team of Deaf Bilingual Coalition that was formed by John Egbert. The second video is about the history of AGB and the quotes from AGB that proved he had a goal to eliminate the Deaf community and Sign Language. The quotes from AGB was in the book of “When The Mind Hears: A History of the Deaf" by Harlen Lane. The third video is to inspire people to look back that we had a peaceful Gallaudet March. We will do the same at AGB conference.
My position at Deaf Bilingual Coalition will be documentary filmmaking. I strongly encourage you all to give your remote/physical support to Deaf Bilingual Coalition. It’s for our Deaf children and their educational future. We focus on Deaf children’s right to access American Sign Language and Bilingual Education. If you can’t be there physically, there are ways you can do in order to help. Please contact John Egbert at: egbertpress@mac.com. More information about Deaf Bilingual Coalition:

IN A RESPONSE TO ELLA LENTZ: STAKEHOLDER
I am thrilled that Ella discussed "STAKEHOLDER" on her vlog. I have been trying to find a right word whenever I discuss our economic values in the Deaf community when I talk with my friends, employees, and people.
I shared my experience as a Filmmaker and from my observation in film industry of stakeholder that "blocks" us being able to produce Deaf films.
The interpreters would treat us like clients. Contemporary interpreters feel that they have a right to be in authority level.
I showed some examples that the social service had an authority to label us as people with disability. They decide that our condition as Deaf actually interferes our work so we are qualified to become a Disabled person. WAIT...I met Deaf lawyers, Deaf doctors, Deaf Dentists, Deaf Engineers, Deaf Hairdresser, Deaf CEOs, Deaf Professors, and Deaf teachers and Deaf people with different fields and they do work. I work as production assistant at the production company.
ELLA'S VLOG:
Who are the biggest stakeholders? http://www.ellasflashlight.com/?p=28.
How WE (who is stakeholder?) decide if you are DISABLED:

Medical/Professional Relations
Now We are under new catalog as special senses and speech. What exciting news for all of us. *Sarcastic*
Medical/Professional Relations http://www.socialsecurity.gov/disability/professionals/bluebook/ChildhoodListings.htm
From Answer.com:
Stakeholder:
1. One who holds the bets in a game or contest.
2. One who has a share or an interest, as in an enterprise.
Hierarchy:
A pyramid-style social and economic control structure. The freedom and authority of one group of individuals is limited by a smaller, more powerful group at the next higher level.
Bureaucracy:
The operational levels of a hierarchical control structure, either government or corporate. Success in the organization is based on obedience and conformity.

"I AM BETTER THAN YOU BECAUSE I AM FROM HEARING WORLD"
From my experience, I notice that some deaf people feel that they need to stress that they were better than Deaf people because they were from “hearing world.” Whenever I work with some deaf people, they keep saying that they are from hearing world and they know better than us. It turned me off and showed me that they are really that ignorant and narrow-mind. Why do they have to say it? I hope you can share your opinions why they behave this way and where did they learn from...
STEREOTYPE: ONE DEAF PERSON REPRESENTS AS A WHOLE DEAF COMMUNITY
I pulled out these stereotypical statements from these blogs/vlogs and the comment makers on the DeafRead. A few deaf people who make these stereotypical statements tend to make assumptions that whatever this Deaf person do that would be represented as a whole Deaf community or whatever a Deaf organization do that would be applied to all each Deaf organization.
From OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS:
Preconceived, simplistic description of all members of a given group that leads to having certain expectations, often inaccurate and prejudicial, about members of that group without regard to individual differences.
A too-simple and therefore distorted image of a group, such as “Football players are stupid” or “The English are cold and unfriendly people.”
Stereotypes are ideas held about members of particular groups, based solely on membership in that group. They are often considered to be negative or prejudicial and may be used to justify certain discriminatory behaviors. According to Sander Gilman, stereotypes, by definition, are never accurate representations, but a projection of an individual's fears onto others, regardless of the reality of others.
Description
Stereotypes are assumed characteristics on a large group of individuals whose beliefs, habits, a.
Stereotype production can be based on:
Simplification
Exaggeration
Generalization
Presentation of cultural attributes as being 'natural'
Unshakable belief in stability of stereotype
Racism, sexism, and other forms of discrimination
Historical factors
Guilt by association
I copied and pasted the quotes from different vlogs and blogs:
"Deaf children do not bother looking up unfamiliar words."
"Most deaf students go to library to look at the pictures on the book."
"You know that its hard for deaf students to learn English, therefore we refuse to teach deaf students English."
"ASL might not be the perfect answer for us"
"Why Are Deaf Organizations Crumbling?"
"I did get involved with deaf related activities and politics but I never got any notice of appreication for my efforts and was treated as if my time was "expected."
"Deafies have to stop being in awe of the well known personalities of the deaf community."
"I went to Gallaudet and saw these kinds of things happening all the time. It made me so sick. It made me wonder if Deafies are so stupid?"
"Deaf' groups were always exclusive not inclusive, and now because the ones left are under pressure, they are using sign language and their heritage to justify some of the exclusion."
"Many deaf people that I have met have egoism"
"That’s another one deaf community need to improve in this area"
"You are right about deaf people not giving proper credits"
"I have lost interest in volunteering in any deaf organizations because of the very same reason, I don’t get any recognition or credit."
"I don’t get this very often in the deaf organizations. Where I work in a hearing organization, I got a lot of gifts and lots of compliments and praise from my hearing supervisor, wow that certainly made me feel good that I actually enjoyed going to work everyday."
"You are right for saying that many deaf people become apathetic or unwillingful to work together in the deaf community."
"I often don’t get the credit for working with deaf communities"
"Funny thing, when I volunteered doing some work for the organization operated by some hearing people, I was always recognized and praised, even given some gifts. I never felt that good working for the deaf organizations."
"Deaf people should be more careful not to make any more mistakes. People in the world and Deaf people are so different that can be scary sometimes."
